Ag Consultant
We are looking for an Ag Consultant who is hardworking, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about California's San Joaquin Valley soils. As a Consultant you will interact with clientele such are growers, dairies, food processors, packing houses, engineers, homeowners & water purveyors. Fertilizer recommendations, soil reclamation assistance & crop nutrient management plans are part of the job. You may conduct field observations, document strata information in backhoe pits, offer advice for agronomic/environmental clients, investigate crop loss & provide expert witness testimony and other services.
A BS degree in Soil Science is needed. Some experience in soil fertility and salinity management, crop nutrition & irrigation management in row, vine & tree crops preferred. Computer proficient & Certified Crop Advisor certificate desired.
